|May 19, 2017

Data center and cloud providers leveraging Zayo’s extensive fiber
footprint in tech corridor

BOULDER, Colo. –
Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO) today announced it has signed
multiple contracts in the past three months to deliver dark fiber to
large data center providers in Northern Virginia. The providers will
rely on Zayo’s extensive dark fiber network to connect with other data
centers in the area.

With nearly 4,000 route miles of fiber in the Washington D.C./Northern
Virginia tech corridor, Zayo can provide the customers with connectivity
to more than 110 data centers, 1,200 on-net enterprise locations and 19
cloud destinations.

Also known as the Dulles Technology corridor, the area is one of the
nation’s largest centers for enterprise and technology, with a growing
concentration of cloud and data center providers. The corridor is also
the biggest internet exchange point in the world. Zayo is well
positioned to leverage its dense, interconnected fiber footprint to
serve the region.

“The agreements solidify Zayo as the leading fiber infrastructure
provider to data center facilities and large enterprises in this
corridor, also known as ‘data center alley’,” said Randy Dunbar, senior
vice president, Fiber Solutions East Region at Zayo. “We are
aggressively focused on demonstrating our position as the premier dark
fiber provider, both in the region and across the U.S. This scale, and
our infrastructure expertise, offers a compelling value proposition for
potential customers.”
