Jan Vesely

Jan Vesely is a Partner at EQT Partners, where he is responsible for telecommunications infrastructure investments in the Americas. He has led a large number of investments both in the U.S. and in Europe with total equity investments of more than USD 8 billion. In addition to Zayo, notable recent investments he led include South Carolina-based Spirit Communications and Virginia-based Lumos Networks; Spirit and Lumos today operate together as Segra and are the leading independent fiber provider in the Carolinas and the Mid-Atlantic. Additionally, he has been responsible for several investments in the energy sector.

Prior to joining EQT, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs on transactions across the energy, healthcare and telecommunications sectors. Jan is on the Board of Directors for Segra, and he previously served on the Board at Contanda. He holds Master’s Degrees in Business Administration from Mannheim University and Portland State University. He currently resides in New York, NY.
